WONKA VISION WELCOMES YOUR BLACK STAR TO OUR BAND ROSTER!

After circling the states on Elliott’s final tour, the boys in Your Black Star decided to drop everything and hit the high seas, extensively touring Japan, Australia and the United Kingdom. Garnering numerous spins on BBC 1 and BBC 6 as well as critical, international acclaim, YBS took the long way home, capturing fans abroad before cultivating them in the US. Now they're ready to hit the pavement back home. With over 100 shows a year, strong college radio play, and a colossal new album, on October 17th Your Black Star are ready to storm the States. “One of my editors sent me a copy of their old record and I was hooked”, states Justin Luczejko owner of Wonka Vision Records. “After seeing them live it was a no-brainer, I wanted to do this record immediately. Their sound was so loud, I was blown away when I found out they were a three piece and weren’t hiding a fourth member behind an amp backstage, ala some band from Chicago that will go nameless”. Following a long and intense meeting held in the Bleacher seats of a Phillies/Dodgers double-header in Philadelphia, Wonka Vision Records, home of Zolof the Rock & Roll Destroyer and KittyKat DirtNap, inked a deal with the band and is about to present the long awaited American debut of Louisville, Kentucky’s YOUR BLACK STAR.

ZOLOF THE ROCK & ROLL DESTROYER - WORKING ON NEW ALBUM
Zolof is in the studio laying down the tracks for their upcoming sophomore effort for Eyeball Records. (www.eyeballrecords.com) Rumor has it there will be several special guest appearances on the record, none of which I am obliged to speak of. As far as the Zolof "S/T" on Wonkavision/BreakEven we will repressing the record in the next upcoming month. The artwork is slightly different (and when I say "slightly different" I mean it) and pre-orders are available here www.wonkavisionmagazine.com/recordlabel/store.html

6. KITTYKAT DIRTNAP ALBUM TO BE RELEASED APRIL 04'
This signing is probably the most exciting Wonka Vision Records news of the short lived 2004. KittyKat DirtNap, the synth pop band from Philadelphia has been shaking asses and perking up gloomy days since their inception in 2003 and we are more then excited to help unleash them on the world's ears. Check them out on the web at www.kittykatdirtnap.com.

Unfortunatly I recieved a pretty sad e-mail today from Jeff in Late Night Desperate. He asked me to share it with everyone as well:
Late Night Desperate has officially broken up. We were going into different paths and we felt it was the right time to end it. Late Night Desperate was a big part of my life, just like it was for the rest of us and we are going to miss it. I just want to take this time to thank some people who really helped us out. Thanks to Pete from Pumpkineater Records for putting out our first cd and just being a very easy person to work with. Thanks to Justin Lucjecko from Wonka Vision Records, one for being a good friend and two, just for helping us so much. You would bend over backwards to help us out. Thanks to all the great bands we played with and most importantly thanks to all the people who actually cared about Late Night Desperate. It actually really meant a lot to us and just hearing one kid tell me that he enjoyed watching us play makes it worth every minute we spent.

Now, we still have merchandise available. We still have our 6 song EP on Pumpkineater Records available for sale on the PER website. Also available are shirts, spilit 7 inch with I Dreamed of Pompeii on Wonka Vision Records and if anyone wants one of our demos (older or newer) we can make a copy for you. Please email us at latenightdesperate@hotmail.com and we will take care of you. If not, you can always contact Pete at Pumpkineater or Justin at Wonka Vision. They can probably get you the merch quicker than us.Thanks again, and look out for some new projects from all members of LND. We will try to keep you posted of anything coming up.
-Jeff

Happy fireworks day everyone. I just wanted to give an extra special thanks tonight to our web-designer Jay Atkins. He has been kicking some major ass to get this web-site updated and running. It's due to him that all of this looks so nice. Thanks Jay.

Late Night Desperate / I Dreamed of Pompeii Sign to Wonka Vision Records Website!
Oh yeah! It's true. After years of sharing best friends, booking shows together and pissing in each others faces; it's all coming together and we couldn't be happier to welcome both Late Night Desperate and I Dreamed of Pompeii to our roster. One thing that you must know about this release is that it is done completely out of the love and friendship that we have for the members of these bands. Oddly enough along with welcoming them to our roster, both bands are welcoming new singers to their bands.
